Introduction · · · · · ·
If this is the last day of your life, what will you tell about it? The complete version of the highly acclaimed documentary "The Last Lecture" by Japan's NHK TV. Nobuhiko Obayashi, a famous Japanese director, pioneer of independent films, and successor to Akira Kurosawa, tells about his life-long film philosophy.

This old-generation filmmaker, who ended his life on the screen, came on stage with a cane in the late stage of cancer to give lectures, telling everyone about the past of the film industry and describing his lifelong understanding of film.

"Before the birth of movies, there was great pain. As a filmmaker, the lesson I teach today is not the last lesson on how to shoot a "grand ending", but the first lesson on how to continuously pass on and extend a happy ending...Watching movies is no longer just an act of appreciation, but has become a life experience. A new experience can change a person's worldview."
