Yoshitomo Nara is about to hold his first large-scale solo exhibition in mainland China in Shanghai. This book is his first book produced for Chinese readers and also his new "autobiography" after many years.

His works are inspired by the "empty world covered in snow" deep in his heart. His inspirations include childhood memories, music, literature, his time studying and living in Germany (1988-2000), his exploration of himself, and contemporary art from Europe and Japan.
