About the content · · · · · ·
"Good Weather" is the new full-length masterpiece by Mao Dun Literature Prize winner Su Tong. The novel revolves around the development and changes in the suburban areas on both sides of the Xianshuitang region, aiming to "write an elegy for the suburbs," and portray the joys and sorrows of love and hate in the little-known southern land amidst the times. Xianshuitang is divided into a rural side and an urban side. Two families, one on each side of the pond, two female protagonists with the same name, and several children of the same age form bonds. Decades of ups and downs, love and resentment, fade away as the colorful sky of Xianshuitang disappears.
