Description
Introduction · · · · · ·
Antonin Artaud, as he called himself, a "forgotten poet", an "enemy of drama", and a "rebel against the body", has left his unique mark of madness, rebellion and cruelty on the literature, art and thought of this era with his exploding nerves and the roar of a beast. In his spastic life, Artaud, trapped in a weak body and the purgatory of the secular world, turned the pen in his hand into a lightning that illuminated the dark night of the soul through the trick of blood he was obsessed with; his frequent writing, like the pain of labor, prepared a storm of judgment for this world that still had its eyes open to alienation with the density of hailstones condensed by curses.
"Rebellion Against Poetry: The Collected Works of Antonine Artaud" is the first collection of works in China about the French writer Antonine Artaud.
This collection is based on the French version of the complete works of Artaud, and also refers to the collections of works compiled by French Artaud expert Grossman and famous American writer Sontag. It selects representative works created by Artaud throughout his life, including his poems, essays, reviews, plays, manifestos, letters and notes written from the 1920s to the 1940s, and is accompanied by detailed descriptions of the works from each period.
Nearly a thousand pages are filled with Artaud's will. His thoughts are like a lightning storm, splitting the most painful ghosts in the dark world. This book is the alms bowl of his life memory, and Artaud's uniqueness no longer needs to be proved to the world.

About Aalto, they thought:
⚡ "Whenever I was called upon by the ideas of Surrealism, it was Antonin Artaud, that wonderful and gloomy man, who imposed them on me." - Breton
⚡ Because words are dedicated to the insane and the dead, while they themselves always remain in the freest thoughts. - Sollers
⚡In Artaud, the artist as prophet first stereotyped the artist as a pure victim of his consciousness. [......] What he left behind was not a finished work of art, but a unique appearance, a poetics, an aesthetics of thought, a theology of culture, and a phenomenology of suffering. ——Sontag
⚡When he talks about life, he talks about fire; when he names the void, he names the burning of the void, the burning of the light, the incandescence of the desert. - Blanchot
⚡ His novelty is that, as a metaphor for the absence of the modern center, he used a person with extremely strong totemic imagery to establish a negative totem. This is both Emperor Heliagabalus and Count Chinchi. The negative totem stands at the center of the world. I sensed the principle of surrealism from this hypothesis. - Terayama Shuji
⚡Artaud tells us that the metaphysical transgression with the help of this "thought" that has not yet begun always risks returning to metaphysics. This is the problem we are placed in. Whenever a language protected by the boundaries of the field allows itself to be stimulated from a distance by the flesh-and-blood mystery that hopes to be called Antonin Artaud, this problem remains and is always wrapped up. - Derrida
⚡Madness means a radical break with the work of art. It constitutes the fundamental element of destruction, which ultimately disintegrates the authenticity of the work of art. It draws the outer boundary. It is the boundary of extinction, the outline against the background of the void. Artaud's "work" experiences its own annihilation in madness. But this experience, the courage inspired by this ordeal, all those words that are thrown violently into the void of language, and the entire space of physical pain and fear that surrounds the void, or more precisely, coincides with the void, together are the work of art itself, the cliff that towers over the abyss of the void of the work of art. - Foucault
