In everyone's life, there is the most difficult year, which makes life beautiful and broad.
---------------------
A. J. Fikri, a middle-aged man, runs a bookstore on an isolated island.
Fate had never been kind to him, his beloved wife passed away, the bookstore was in crisis, and even his only valuable treasure was stolen. His life was at a standstill, and his heart became a deserted island.
At this moment, a mysterious bag appeared in the bookstore, unexpectedly saving A. J. from loneliness and despair, and became a link between him and his sister-in-law Ismay, Sheriff Lambias, and Amelia, a female salesperson at the publishing house, bringing a turning point in his life.
No one is an island, every book is a world.
The lives on the island depended on each other closely and walked out of the difficulties of life, and all the love for books and life repeated itself and became more and more intense.

6. Zewen continues a rare tradition of this era - she has created a highly entertaining novel, which is short but can capture people's hearts; although it is interesting, it is not sweet and sentimental. What is even more rare is that she is full of insights on the future of books, bookstores and book lovers. - The Washington Post
7. "The Island Bookstore" has a little bit of mystery novel elements and a little bit of romance novel elements, but in the final analysis, its core is a story about love: love for books, love for family, and kindness and love for everyone around you.
