Introduction
The Annotated Edition of Brig's Notebooks contains the poet Rilke's novel "Brig's Notebooks" and a large number of annotations written by Chinese scholar Chen Zao.
"Brigg's Notebook" is a novel written by the poet Rilke in his lifetime, which took 6 years to write. There is no plot throughout the book, but only fragmentary thoughts. The protagonist of the novel is Brigg, a 28-year-old Danish nobleman who wandered around Paris and wrote 71 notes. The notes can be roughly divided into three parts: Brigg's impression of Paris, childhood memories, and his reflections on cognition, writing, time, existence and history.
The Annotated Edition of Brig's Notebooks adds about twice as much reference material, annotations and interpretations as the original text, and has groundbreaking significance in the domestic and international Rilke research community.
