About the Author
Deguchi Haruaki is the president of Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, a school corporation, and the vice president and director of Ritsumeikan. He was born in Misugi Village (now Tsu City), Mie Prefecture, Japan in 1948, and graduated from the Department of Constitutional Law, Faculty of Law, Kyoto University, Japan in 1972. He has served as the president of Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University since January 2018. Since 2009, he has opened a series of lectures on "5000 Years of World History" in various prestigious universities in Japan, and has published dozens of works, including "World History of Ten People", "5000 Years of Human History I", "World History Lecture I", "World History Lecture II" and dozens of other works.
