Description
Introduction
The "Art Gallery on Paper" series is a set of popular art books that appreciate the representative works of world-famous painters. This book shows nearly 65 masterpieces of Egon Schiele, an Austrian painter active in the early 20th century, his genius and ups and downs in life, and analyzes the connotations and ideas behind the pictures of his works. Schiele created a series of portraits and self-portraits with clear lines, shaping the grotesque postures and provocative attitudes of the characters. The characters in his paintings are distorted, skinny, and strangely shaped, often appearing in empty places. The pictures in Schiele's paintings are both shocking and disturbing. These works are among the greatest creations of the 20th century.
