From November 1936 to October 1938, Raymond Queneau asked readers three questions about Paris every day in the Intransigente newspaper, and then answered them one by one in the advertising section. In two years, these questions totaled 2,102, including historical anecdotes, urban legends, human sorrows and joys, and of course, full of nostalgia for Paris' past, longing for the future, and current anxiety. Do You Know Paris? selected 456 questions from these questions and answers and compiled them into a book, like a wise man who deeply loves Paris taking readers into this city of art, fashion, culture, and romance.
