About the Author
Friedrich Nietzsche was born on October 15, 1844. He is a famous German philosopher. His major works include The Birth of Tragedy, The Gay Science, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, The Will to Power, and Ecce Homo. In 1869, Nietzsche was appointed professor of classical philology at the University of Basel in Switzerland. He resigned in 1879 and then wandered in the Alps for many years. In 1889, he suffered a mental breakdown and never recovered. He died in Weimar on August 25, 1900.
