Introduction · · · · · ·
"The life I pursue is to go to the green mountains and clear waters and put aside all worries...", find a place with clean sunshine, air and water, make friends with the land and crops, care for each other, and make a living by selling "good life", this can probably be considered a lifestyle.
This book records how Wu Hou quit his job as a university teacher and started a one-room B&B, which later developed into nearly 20 beautiful B&Bs, his management experience, and his understanding of the B&B lifestyle. With one hand holding his feelings and the other holding the reality, he selected the site, rented, decorated, managed, met strangers... He lived in B&Bs for more than 200 days a year, leaving part of his time for strangers.
As his B&B became more and more successful, more and more colleagues came to him for advice, and he himself summed up a set of management experience on how to run a popular B&B:
In the vast beautiful countryside, B&B is still a calm blue ocean. There is no need to fight for it in seemingly hot places.
The organic combination of culture and B&B and the adoption of the diversified management mode of “B&B +” are the individual proposition and key to success of urban B&B.
The key to renting a house and opening a B&B is to look for a house like looking for a soul mate, and of course the longer the lease period, the better.
B&Bs with no more than fifteen rooms are more likely to be successfully run.
Soft furnishings are the core elements that reflect the style of a popular homestay, and they are more important than decoration.
I gain word of mouth through warm service and free quality lifestyle products that can touch the souls of customers.
A profound B&B host culture requires interaction with guests; a self-indulgent host culture is not a true host culture.
Vigorously developing the housekeeping culture is the key to successfully making the B&B business stronger, bigger and longer-lasting.
The biggest advantage of B&B is that it allows guests to feel the warmth of home while also having the novelty of traveling.
Integrating local culture and the host’s cultural taste into B&B operations can evoke emotional resonance in guests.
…………
He said, "A B&B owner is a life lover who understands operation, management, and life, and has a sense of quality. Opening a B&B may seem easy, but it is actually not simple. B&B is still a business after all."
