The starry sky is a grand stage for human imagination, which is both realistic and magical. In the book, the stars are endowed with life and emotions, not only inheriting history but also sustenance of dreams. Modern science has further revealed the physical connection between humans and the stars, making our perception of life more delicate and rich.

The big bear, the little bear, the hunter... The patterns of the stars are like the eternal hieroglyphs of the universe, telling stories that are either sad and moving or magnificent, which make people fascinated.
——Chen Pengfei (Professor of the School of Astronomy and Space Science, Nanjing University, Editorial Board Member of Acta Astronomica Sinica)
Every star story I tell here has been used to explain mysterious natural phenomena. They connect unfamiliar stars with familiar experiences and beliefs, giving people comfort. Every star story is a story about us.
