Synopsis
On a stormy night, Mei the goat and Gabu the wolf accidentally take refuge in the same dark mountain hut. Natural enemies surprisingly have a pleasant conversation. When the wolf and goat's secret is discovered by their respective packs, they decide to search for the legendary land where wolves and goats live in peace. However, pursuit by their packs, the onslaught of blizzards, and countless hardships await them...


About the Author
Author: Yuichi Kimura
Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1948, he graduated from Tama Art University and has served as a modeling instructor and consultant for children's television programs. He is now a renowned Japanese picture book author, whose representative work, the "Arashi no Yoru ni" series, has received the Kodansha Publishing Culture Award for Picture Books, the Sankei Children's Publishing Culture Award JR Grand Prize, and other accolades, with sales exceeding 3.5 million copies. His other picture books include "Baby Play Picture Books," "Wobbly Bridge," and "The Rain Has Stopped."
Illustrator: Hiroshi Abe
Born in Hokkaido, Japan in 1948, he worked as a zookeeper at Asahiyama Zoo in Asahikawa, Hokkaido for 25 years. He is also a very active picture book artist, whose representative work, the "Arashi no Yoru ni" series, has received the Kodansha Publishing Culture Award for Picture Books, the Sankei Children's Publishing Culture Award JR Grand Prize, and other accolades. His other works include "Orangutan Diary" and "Little Crocodile Swanee."
