Tatsuya Miyanishi,
Born in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan in 1956, he graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Faculty of Art, Nihon University. After working in stage art and graphic design for puppet shows, he began to create picture books. He got inspiration from his childhood memories and the experience of raising four children, making his works full of innocence and fun, and unique with warm and humorous stories and powerful painting style. While creating, he is also committed to promoting picture books, traveling to every county in Japan to give picture book lectures to children and parents.
The "Dinosaur Series" by Tatsuya Miyanishi, represented by "You Look Delicious" (won the Kenbuchi Picture Book Award), as well as "The Hungry Little Snake", "Ping Ping and Pang Pang Catch Big Fish", "Tail-follower" and "Why is my luck so good today" (won the Kodansha Publishing Culture Award Picture Book Award) have been translated and published in China. In addition, his works such as "Dad is Ultraman Seven" (won the Kenbuchi Picture Book Award), "The Hungry Wolf and the Pig Town" and "One Pig and One Hundred Wolves" are also very popular in Japan.
