Toni Morrison
A famous American female writer. Born in Ohio in 1931, she worked as a senior editor at Random House and later taught at Princeton University and other schools. Her representative works include The Bluest Eye, Song of Solomon, Beloved, Jazz, Love, and Grace. She has won many awards including the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, the American Book Critics Circle Award, and the National Book Award. In 1993, she won the Nobel Prize in Literature.
