☆Introduction
"The Echo of Justice" is a collection of legal essays written by Professor Chen Bi of China University of Political Science and Law. The law is not a cold and icy provision. The judgment of each case is a balance between legal principles, facts and emotions. Fairness and justice should not only be reflected in the law, but more importantly, they should be echoed in each case. Combining hot cases in recent years, especially those related to women's rights, Professor Chen Bi interprets more than 20 hot cases such as wife buying, gender violence, trafficking in women and children, and matricide from the perspective of emotion in the law, analyzes the considerations of the legal system and emotion in the judgment of the case, and pays attention to the common feelings of the people on top of logic and rationality, so as to feel the fairness and warmth of the law.
This book is not only suitable for classroom teaching and self-study of criminal law, but also for ordinary people to learn legal knowledge.
☆Media Recommendation
Teacher Chen is my guide in writing, and he shows us the warm and compassionate side of the rule of law.
—— Luo Xiang, professor at China University of Political Science and Law
Chen Bi is one of the most courageous women around me. Her writing is free and unrestrained, without the sourness and plasticity of academic writing. She writes in an unexpected way, which is always interesting to read.
—— Zhao Hong, professor at China University of Political Science and Law
Teacher Chen Bi is the Huang Yaoshi of legal writing. As an outstanding storyteller, she seldom explains complex legal principles and hardly shows off professional terminology. Instead, she uses the thread of law to string together cases from ancient and modern times, both at home and abroad, and finally forms a Buddha head mother bead in a closed loop.
——Shan Xueling, editor-in-chief of “Details of the Rule of Law” at The Paper
