◎ Narration + modeling, new dimension, new level, new interpretation. More vivid than words, more detailed than pictures, see those buildings and objects that have disappeared in the long river of history vividly reproduced in the hands of designers.
◎ A new era of information mapping, summarizing the thrilling decade in the form of data design. Numerous first-hand data, after professional processing, continue the characteristics of data visualization, breaking the boring curse of numbers and charts.
◎ Unscrewing the screws of history from a microscopic perspective, unknown details are scattered throughout the whole text. Reading this book is equivalent to enjoying an immersive experience, and we seem to be "on the scene" in every scene.
◎ Focus on the people behind the scenes, discover the small, and re-examine the vast. Women, slaves, multiple portraits and biographies, explore the choices of mankind in the face of changes in the objective situation, and discover the subtle influence of mankind in the process of historical development.
◎ The research results of scholars in the professional field for many years interpret the essence of major history. Written by the former director of the French Revolutionary History Institute, the results of 30 years of research deeply explore the largest and most thorough revolution in the modern history of the world.

From 1789 to 1799, France experienced a revolution. In order to accurately describe the major events and changes that took place during this period, this book combines reality with historical data modeling, reinterpreting this decade-long history in the form of a "kaleidoscope", and strives to enable readers to understand all aspects of the French Revolution.
In addition to the outstanding talent of data designer Julien Pelletier, author Jean Clement Martin has made a powerful analysis of this period through thirty years of research, which not only provides a macro perspective, but also includes specific case studies and even biographies of representative figures. Great revolutionary eras and changes must be understood from multiple dimensions at different scales, and the dozens of topics covered in the book - the decline of monarchy, the reign of terror, counter-revolution, the status of women, military revolution, slavery... all prove this.
