About the Author
Born and made a living by the Yangtze River, I have sailed, fished, worked as a raft, worked as a doctor, taught, worked as a cultural class leader in an ancient town, and worked as a cadre in the county party committee. I am casual and non-partisan. I am fifty-five years old. I have been a reporter and editor for twenty years. Fortunately, my poems, novels, and essays have all been published in collections. I have also won many news awards. Now I am the business director of a special supplement of a "Jiang" evening newspaper. I am a glutton in the south of the Yangtze River. My life is for food, not poetry. Because of the south of the Yangtze River, I indulge in food. I talk about the family affairs of oil, salt, sauce and vinegar, and write about the romantic and past events of the tongue, just for the mood, not for food.
