"The Alchemist" is a fable about a young boy's pursuit of his dreams. It is also a once-in-a-century book that can change a person's life. Everyone can find their own way to pursue their dreams in it.
Santiago, a Spanish shepherd boy, had the same dream over and over again, dreaming that there was a treasure hidden near the Egyptian pyramids. The boy sold his sheep, went through untold hardships all the way south, crossed the sea to Africa, and crossed the Sahara Desert, encountering many adventures along the way.
Under the guidance of an alchemist, he finally arrived at the pyramid, but just realized the true location of the treasure...
