Keigo Higashino: A Japanese mystery writer, born in Osaka Prefecture, Japan in 1958, graduated from the Faculty of Engineering of Osaka Prefecture University. He worked as an engineer, and won the 31st Edogawa Ranpo Award in 1985 for After School, thus becoming a writer. In 1999, he won the 52nd Mystery Writers Association of Japan Award for Secret, the 134th Naoki Prize for Suspect X in 2006, and the 7th Chuokoron Literature Award for The Convenience Store of Sorrow in 2012. He also wrote White Night Walk, When Prayers End, Wandering Blade, Midsummer Formula, Mission and Soul's End, Meteor Bond, etc.
