【Content Introduction】
Solaris is a planet orbiting a binary star, with its surface covered by a colloid ocean. According to human knowledge, the orbit of such a planet should be unstable. But after just over a decade, people discovered that the orbit of Solaris did not show the expected changes. This aroused human interest in this planet.
Psychologist Kelvin landed on Solaris. What greeted him was not the warm welcome of his companions, but a messy space station, crazy researchers and a solemn dark atmosphere. He tried to figure out what happened until he ran into his wife who had passed away ten years ago in the confusion...
【Media Recommendation】
Lem has a truly unique imagination. His works have a deeper description of the relationship between man and the universe. Compared with American science fiction, they are more refined in literature, have a deeper artistic conception, and bring more aftertaste and thinking.
——Liu Cixin
If we can't find aliens, it may be because our understanding of alien life is that they are all human.
——Leung Man-tao
"Solaris" is not only an important science fiction work, but also a great literary work and even a modern philosophy textbook.
——Dai Jinhua
Lem always manages to mock our lives at their core. He can cook together scientific papers, folk tales, fables, myths and legends, and use humorous and powerful absurd language and absurd plots to reflect our world.
——Wu Yan
He is one of the wisest, most learned, and funniest writers alive today.
--Anthony Burgess
Whether it is the control of language, imagination or the method of shaping tragic characters, it is all excellent and no one can surpass it.
--Kurt Vonnegut
Our tired universe pales in comparison.
—The Washington Post
A giant of science fiction who ranks alongside Arthur Clarke, Isaac Asimov and Philip K. Dick.
—The New York Times
