Description
Introduction · · · · · ·
"Flowers" writes about three generations of characters, each with different identities, family backgrounds, main activity areas, and personalities. The author presents a complete picture of Shanghai people's lives in a fragmented description, reflecting the changes of the times behind it in a profound and detailed manner. In various political winds, farmers face the most direct hunger and physical pain, while ordinary citizens in the city are more suffering from mental torment - as a city with the strongest proletarian workers and the largest number of bourgeoisie, Shanghai, which was once magnificent, has become more precarious in a series of changes. "Flowers" is a history of the soul of Shanghai citizens, a history of Shanghai's growth, and a painful history.
