Description
Introduction · · · · · ·
There are many versions of "Dream of the Red Chamber" published so far, and there are also several excellent annotated editions, but most of them do not include Zhiping. "Dream of the Red Chamber" is an excellent annotated edition with Zhiping, which was carefully polished by the author with the help of the Internet and the efforts of a large number of Redology enthusiasts for more than ten years, and was carefully reviewed by Redology experts hired by the Beijing Cao Xueqin Society.
The "Collection of Zhiping on Dream of the Red Chamber" is based on the Jiaxu, Jimao, Gengchen and other early Zhiben editions, and collects some Zhiping from other Zhiping editions such as Qixu and Mengfu editions, and refers to and absorbs the proofreading results of several new proofreading editions and Zhiping collections. For those opinions that differ from those of the predecessors, I have made some choices based on my own opinions, and strived to neither repeat what others say nor be unconventional, and compiled them into a concise reading of Zhiping on Dream of the Red Chamber that is easy to read and search.
