"Biography of Nalan Rongruo's Ci": Nalan Rongruo, the first poet in the early Qing Dynasty. Born in a gentle and wealthy family, his poems are full of sadness and love; he lives in a prosperous society, but his heart is free from the hustle and bustle; he is a true son of the Eight Banners, but he likes to make friends with people who are down and out; he walks in the official career, but his life is burdened by love; he died in a hurry when he was in his prime... A melancholy man who has almost everything in the world, a legend that has attracted countless descendants for three hundred years. "Nalan Dianping Song Ci Yinghua (Northern Song Volume)": Rongruo has commented on many famous poems and poems of all dynasties. He selects and discusses the top works of his predecessors with his own eyes, and never follows the crowd. Rongruo's comments are mostly just a few strokes, or even only three or four words. Unlike some senior critics, he does not regard this as a job or a career, and it seems that there is no intention to publish and circulate it in the world. It is more like a note he made while reading. The words are all said to himself without modification. It is also for this reason that these selections do not need to consider the tastes of the world, nor do they deliberately make shocking arguments, nor do they form any systematic literary theory. Rong Ruo's selections and comments were later circulated in the form of manuscripts, and were not quickly published. Gu Taiqing, known as the first talented woman in the Qing Dynasty, collected such a manuscript and loved it. She recorded her reading experience in a poem: "I only pick up good sentences from the old classics, and don't look for people who understand me in the world." Gu Taiqing seemed to truly feel Rong Ruo's loneliness, and believed that she was one of the few people who understood Rong Ruo after his death.
