Keigo Higashino is a famous Japanese writer. He was born in Osaka, Japan in 1958. He graduated from Osaka Prefecture University with a degree in electrical engineering. In 1985, he won the 31st Edogawa Ranpo Award and became a professional writer. In 1999, he won the 52nd Japan Mystery Writers Association Award. In 2006, he won the 134th Naoki Prize and the 6th Honkaku Mystery Award. Most of his early works were exquisite and detailed Honkaku mysteries. Later, his style gradually surpassed the framework of traditional mystery novels and became a best-selling author in Japan.
