About the Author:

Guy de Maupassant 1850-1893

Maupassant is known as one of the "three great short story masters in the world" along with Chekhov and O. Henry.


Huang Ke

Young English and French translator, graduated from the French Department of Xiamen University with a Bachelor of Arts, and successively obtained Master of Arts and Master of Language, Literature and Translation from Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan and University of Leuven in Belgium. Currently a PhD candidate in Sociology at the University of Paris-Cité, France.
