Description
Introduction
Do you have a smart but chaotic child at home? Although he is smart and learns quickly, he cannot manage his time and energy well. He is forgetful, procrastinates, is often distracted, has poor self-control, is emotionally unstable, has no plans, and is "fast-paced" in everything he does. Therefore, his potential cannot be realized, his academic performance cannot be improved, and his life is like a mess, which makes you worry and anxious.
This is because his brain lacks a key ability - executive skills, which determines the child's learning ability, concentration and action ability. The age of 4 to 13 is a critical stage for the development of children's executive skills. If parents use their mature brains to guide their children during this period and internalize executive skills into their brains step by step, it can not only improve their academic performance, but also lay a good foundation for their independent life in adolescence and adulthood.
The two authors of this book are experts in learning and attention disorders and have been helping children with such problems for more than 30 years. They jointly developed this executive skills training plan to help parents guide their children to improve their executive skills, promote their children's brain development during the critical period, and make their children smart and focused.
Children with strong executive skills are able to:
·Be organized, stick to tasks, and resist impulse
Learn from your mistakes, stay focused, and control your emotions
·Make good use of time and solve problems independently
· Make plans in advance and make good use of resources
