Sun Wei, whose ancestral home is Rongcheng, Shandong, was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu in 1963. He graduated from Renmin University of China and is a well-known art media person in China. Over the past 30 years, he has witnessed and participated in the development of China's cultural relics and art collection market, and published many articles on the history of Chinese art collection, which have received good responses in the academic community.
He has published many books, including "Orchids in the Breeze: The Artistic Career of Guo Xiuyi", "The Romantic Stone Addict: The Biography of Lu Zhiya", "A Chronological History of Calligraphy and Painting in the Republic of China", "The Biography of General Huang Qixiang", and the novel "Auction House".
