This set of books attempts to present the general education courses of Southwest Associated University from multiple perspectives through the high-quality articles of 15 masters who have served as professors at Southwest Associated University, and to show the academic style of Southwest Associated University, as well as the teaching style and personality cultivation of masters such as Zhu Ziqing, Feng Youlan, and Chen Yinke. These articles are all written by masters in their respective fields of expertise. From them, we can not only see the masters' seriousness in learning and persistence in education, but also see the masters' figures who have always stood firm in the dramatic changes of the times behind these words.
The theme of this book is "Classics of Classical Chinese Literature". The book includes articles by five gentlemen, including Fu Sinian, Zhu Ziqing, You Guoen, Xiao Difei, and Pu Jiangqing. The content is in chronological order, sorting out the brilliant ancient Chinese treasures in Chinese history, from pre-Qin classics such as "Shangshu" to folk music in the Han Dynasty, from Jian'an literature to the origin of vernacular novels and novels, showing the characteristics and changes of Chinese literature in different stages of development. This book adheres to the spirit of inclusiveness and demonstrates the inclusive, high-quality, and basic-oriented general education of Southwest Associated University through the explanation of classic ancient Chinese literature.
About the Author
Fu Sinian (1896-1950), originally known as Mengzan and Mengzhen, was a native of Liaocheng, Shandong Province. He was a famous historian, expert in classical literature, educator, and academic leader. He was one of the student leaders of the May Fourth Movement and the founder of the Institute of History and Philology of the Academia Sinica.
