Feng Youlan (1895-1990) was a famous Chinese philosopher. He served as professor, director of the Department of Philosophy, and dean of the School of Arts at Tsinghua University, and professor and dean of the School of Arts at Southwest Associated University. His works such as "History of Chinese Philosophy", "A Brief History of Chinese Philosophy", and "Six Books of the Zhenyuan Period" are important classics of Chinese academic thought in the 20th century. They have a profound influence on contemporary Chinese and even foreign academic circles, and he is known as a "modern neo-Confucianist."
