This series of books attempts to present the general education courses of Southwest Associated University from the three aspects of literature, history and philosophy through the high-quality articles of 13 masters who have served as professors at Southwest Associated University, and to show the academic style of Southwest Associated University, as well as the teaching style and personality cultivation of masters such as Zhu Ziqing, Feng Youlan and Chen Yinke. These articles are all written by masters in their respective fields of expertise. From them, we can not only see the masters' seriousness in learning and persistence in education, but also see the masters' figures who have always stood firm in the dramatic changes of the times behind these words.
The theme of this book is "Literature Course". The book includes articles by six scholars, including Zhu Ziqing, You Guoen, Luo Yong, Xiao Difei, Wen Yiduo, and Pu Jiangqing, covering important literary topics such as the relationship between the change of dynasties and the changes in literature from ancient times to the present, and the motivation for the creation of "Dream of Red Mansions". It is divided into five parts in historical order, listing and analyzing some important literary works, authors and their thoughts from the pre-Qin Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, and showing the inclusive, high-quality, and basic general education of Southwest Associated University through literature, and then showing the outstanding academic style of Southwest Associated University, as well as the novel, comprehensive, and cutting-edge academic achievements of each scholar.

Zhu Ziqing (1898-1948)
Originally named Zihua, later changed to Ziqing, with the pen name Peixian, he is a modern Chinese essayist, poet, and scholar. He has written many works throughout his life, including poems such as "Light" and "New Year"; famous essays such as "Moonlight over the Lotus Pond" and "Back Figure", among which the essay "Qinhuai River in the Sound of Paddles and the Shadow of Lanterns" is praised as "a model of vernacular art"; and literary works such as "On Poetry Expressing Will" and "Miscellaneous Talks on New Poetry". His works are now included in "The Complete Works of Zhu Ziqing".
