Its basic materials come from the long-term observation of life phenomena by ancient Chinese people, a large amount of clinical practice and simple anatomical knowledge. The Yellow Emperor's Canon of Internal Medicine laid the foundation for the understanding of human physiology, pathology, diagnosis and treatment. It is a medical work with great influence in China and is known as the ancestor of medicine.
