About the Author

Daniel J. Levitin is a professor of psychology at McGill University in Canada, and also a distinguished professor of behavioral neuroscience, the School of Information Sciences, and the School of Education. He taught computer science at Stanford University and served as a consultant to many companies, including AT&T, Booth-Allen-Hamilton, Apple, Sony, Wells Fargo, etc., serving a wide range of people including students and corporate leaders.

He is the author of the best-selling books "Order: The Cognitive Science of Mental Efficiency", "The Music-Addicted Brain" and "Six Songs That Have Sung Around the World". "The Music-Addicted Brain" is the designated classroom textbook for MIT and UCLA, and is included in the designated reading list of Harvard University's general education core program.
