About the Author

◎ Author:

FS Fitzgerald (Francis Scott Fitzgerald, 1896-1940), one of the most outstanding American writers in the 20th century, sang a gorgeous elegy for the "Jazz Age" with the temperament of a poet and dreamer. In his short 44 years of life, his life experienced many ups and downs, and he saw the fickleness of the world in the world of fame and fortune. He wrote 4 novels and 150 short stories in his life, and his representative works include "The Great Gatsby", "Tender Is the Night" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". His novels vividly reflect the collapse of the "American Dream" in the 1920s and show the spiritual side of the "wasteland era" of the American upper class during the Great Depression.

◎ Editor:

Andrew Turnbull (1922-1970) was born in Baltimore, USA in 1922 and graduated from Princeton University in 1942. In 1954, he received a doctorate in European history from Harvard University and taught at MIT and Brown University. He has been a friend of the Fitzgerald family since childhood and mentioned Andrew many times in the letters included in this book. In 1962, he wrote and published the biography "Scott Fitzgerald".

Translator:

Jiang Hui was born in Taizhou, Jiangsu Province. She has worked as a reporter and editor. Her works have won the Zhao Chaogou Journalism Award. She currently lives in Nanjing and is a full-time translator and writer.

◎ Illustrator:

YiLi, a Chinese cartoonist and graphic designer, graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His representative works include "David" and "Yoga Mat".
