The book is divided into six chapters, integrating Tao, virtue, benevolence, righteousness and propriety into one, and providing a thorough understanding of the complex human nature and a profound insight into the essence of everything in the world. Although the book has only 1,360 words, every word is a gem and every sentence is a famous saying. It contains both great strategies for governing the country and small wisdom for dealing with people, and is praised as a "rare strategy and wisdom library."

Huang Shi Gong (about 292 BC - 195 BC), a native of Qi State (now Zibo, Shandong), was a great sage in the late Warring States Period and a famous hermit in Chinese history. He wrote books such as "Su Shu" and "San Lue". His real name is unknown, but his disciple Zhang Liang once took a piece of yellow stone from the Gucheng Mountain Road home to worship it in memory of his teacher, so later generations called him Huang Shi Gong.

This book is annotated and translated by Luo Hu. Luo Hu has been fond of literature and history since he was young, and has a wide range of interests. He studied Chinese Language and Literature at the Minzu University of China, and because it is close to the National Library, he has gained a lot from it. After graduation, he has been an editor for four years, and also worked part-time as a manuscript editor, including adaptations of famous works, biographies, and popular social science books. He also writes poems and essays as a hobby. Out of his love for social sciences, literature and history, and the accumulation of his academic accomplishments over the years, he is willing to continue writing and live up to his long-cherished wish.
