Togawa Jun

Born in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan in 1961. Singer and actor.

He made his debut as an actor in 1979. He has appeared in TV series such as "Please Detective" and "Roar at the Sun!", movies such as "Family Game" and "Paradise", and dramas such as "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Three Sisters". He has served as the host of popular variety shows such as "Hello! Movie!"

In terms of music, Jun Togawa has formed bands such as "Guernica" and "Yapoos", and is an important figure representing avant-garde music and rock ecology. In 1984, he debuted as a soloist with the album "Jade Princess", which attracted worldwide attention. After that, he released many famous songs such as "I Like It So Much", "Pupa Girl", and "Eyeball Tale", showing his creative talent with his unique lyrics, becoming a legendary singer popular in Asia. To this day, he still has a large number of fans and is known as the "Godmother of Japanese Punk and New Wave Music".

He has written "Encounter: Essays by Jun Togawa", "Jun Togawa's Mood", "Sipping Tree Sap, I am the Daughter of Insects", "Jun Togawa's Utopia", "Jun Togawa's Complete Lyrics and Commentary Collection: Raging Winds and Waves May Sometimes Clear Up", etc.
