Introduction
The greatest harm in this world is done under the banner of "for your own good"
After its publication, it caused huge controversy and topped the Books.com.tw rankings for several months. Some readers were angry, while others cried. The web drama of the same name was produced by Taiwan Public Television and won five awards at the 54th Golden Bell Awards. It received a Douban score of 8.4 and was called the "Asian version of Black Mirror".
---------------------------------------- --------- ----
I spent eight years opening door after door and witnessing stories happening in home after home.
Some people firmly believe that their daughter has ADHD until she actually has it; some people secretly hope that their father will come to her and say to her, "My dear daughter, you have worked hard too"; some people hide their secrets and can only hide in the closet. ; Some people have become mothers, but are used to hiding in the bathroom and crying in the middle of the night, biting their hands to suppress their tears; some people decide to forgive themselves when the reconciliation with their mother fails for the hundredth time.
I walked into their lives, marveling at every step.
The nine stories are:
None of them is an educational myth that the general public likes.
There is no article that makes you feel happy after reading it.
There is not a single article that I read that doesn’t make me feel confused, or even annoyed.
I am constantly tempted to write these stories in a more positive, brighter, warmer way, to dilute and soothe the hurt. But I can't do that. Any embellishment and beautification is a betrayal of those scars. I want you to join me in gazing at those faces, gazing at an original intention that has been forgotten - the original intention of bringing children into this world.

About the Author
Wu Xiaole is from Taichung, born in 1989, graduated from the Law Department of National Taiwan University, and loves parrots.
When I was eighteen, I met my second student. The experience we had was so wonderful that I began my life of traveling around teaching in different families.
At the age of 22, she was afraid of staying at home and daydreaming, so she took a lot of tutoring jobs to fill all her time. As time went by, she got a lot of stories. At the age of 25, she wrote down the stories one by one.
In 2014, she wrote down what she had heard and seen, and compiled them into a book, Your Children Are Not Your Children, which sparked a great discussion. Taiwan Public Television adapted the book into a web series, which was broadcast on the main channel of Public Television and also broadcasted on Netflix worldwide. Without any publicity, it became the No. 1 popular series on Netflix in Japan. Countless readers saw themselves when reading this book.
