◆Zhang Dai (1597-c. 1680)
A Ming Dynasty writer, also known as Tao'an and Die'an Jushi. Born in a prominent official family in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. He read 30,000 volumes of books when he was young and was known as a "child prodigy". When he was young, he loved prosperity, beautiful clothes, fine horses, delicious food, and beautiful maids. He was unrestrained and indulged in sensual pleasures.
He was a diligent writer throughout his life and wrote many books.
