Marco Livingstone is a British art historian, writer and independent curator. He graduated from the University of Toronto and the Courtauld Institute of Art in London. He has worked at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and the Museum of Modern Art in Oxford, and was the deputy editor of the Grove Dictionary of Art. He has curated a series of retrospective exhibitions of David Hockney and has written extensively. In 2012, he curated the record-breaking exhibition "David Hockney: Larger Paintings" for the Royal Academy of Arts, as well as a large number of retrospectives of artists and an important survey exhibition of Pop Art.
