Introduction
【Abstract】
Asahi Shimbun: In 2014, a husband was beaten to death by his 70-year-old wife after he confessed to cheating 36 years ago
Japanese Internet: When searching for "husband" on a search engine, the first associated word that automatically appears is "die"
Interview with Miki Kobayashi: Although the degree of the interviewees varies, they all have wished their husbands to die.
Why don't resentful wives divorce?
How many women have become disappointed in life due to the sense of shame, the constraints of virtue of endurance, and invisible discrimination and disrespect?
To what extent do the employment environment and social security system affect the quality of life of ordinary people?
--------------
Miki Kobayashi has been a freelance journalist since 2007. In 2013, she won the Poverty Reporting Award.
As a freelance journalist for 14 years, her reports have always focused on issues such as employment, marriage, childbirth and parenting, and returning to the workplace.
Kobayashi Miki uses a decade-long follow-up survey, cases, and data to depict the real cracks in marriage. Through the experiences of 15 interviewees, she continues to ask: What is a couple/what is marriage/what is a home. It records the original female perspective and supplements the male perspective. While reflecting on the solidified concepts, it also questions the workplace culture and social environment, giving readers of all ages an opportunity to think deeply about marriage, individuals, society, and family.

Sitting opposite reporter Miki Kobayashi, he told his own story.
Not someone’s wife, not someone’s mother, but Miyuki, Shiho, Satoko, Sakiko, Yuri…
There is no hatred without reason: widowed parenting, no love, cheating, mental abuse, hidden exploitation...
It is worth thinking about why they hate each other and why they don’t divorce.
◆ The Japanese reality version of "Kim Ji-young, Born 1982": I allow myself to fail in marriage, but I do not allow myself to not grow.
◆ From being full of expectations for family life to being defeated by exhaustion and confusion, it is time to rethink the meaning of marriage.
