Contents:
"Forest, Glacier and Whale" is the last work of ecological photographer and travel writer Michio Hoshino. It was serialized in "Family Pictorial", but it came to an abrupt end when the author was attacked by a brown bear in the Kamchatka Peninsula and died. This interesting illustrated travel note mixed with anthropological field notes is praised by Michio Hoshino researchers as a peak and classic. In the book, he started from southeastern Alaska, went north, crossed the Bering Strait, and then went west, completing the cultural root-seeking journey from Alaska to Siberia, from America to Asia. On the way, the author recorded the meeting with the tribal elders, the process of finding the origin of the myth, and the three keywords of forest, glacier and whale connected with an eternal theme-time. Return to the wilderness, gain intuition and understanding from nature, and persevere in using photos and words to express the truth, and get happiness with experience and temperature.
