This book is the first collection of essays authorized by Luo Yijun for publication in mainland China.

Luo Yijun is a contemporary Taiwanese novelist, born in Taipei in 1967. His major works include "Xixia Hotel", "Sending Away Sadness", "Wife Dreams of Dogs", "My Future Second Son's Memories of Me", "The Book of Faces", etc. Among them, the novel "Xixia Hotel" won the first prize of the third "Dream of Red Mansions Award" (World Chinese Novel Award) in 2010.
